My best friend of 26 years and I, were standing in his back yard in the mid-summer of last year. We were doing a craw fish boil. We were standing next to the boiler pot after dumping in the seasoning, lemons, craw fish, corn, crab legs, shrimp and clams. We were both standing facing each other. We were in the middle of some small talk about life, because I hadn’t seen him or his family we both turned to look at it, it was gone. We both were draw to it, and both moved toward its in several weeks. As I was in mid sentence, both of us saw something in our peripheral vision. I saw it in the right eye, and he saw it in the left. Neither one of us got a clear look at it, because when direction instinctively. The best way I could describe it is that it looked like a tiny black hole, about the size of a mouse, bouncing along the grass at an incredible speed. In fact, I would have dismissed it as a mouse, but it was just too fast, and also vanished in the middle of the yard. As we both moved toward it, we both also stopped, because it was just gone. It wasn’t there. We both noticed the other had also moved toward it, and looked at each other. I asked him, “What did you just see?” and he described exactly what I saw. We both went over to the part of the yard where it disappeared. We both were looking for a hole that whatever it was could have gone into, but there was no hole. Then we just looked at each other confused. I asked him “was that a mouse?” and he said “seemed way too fast to have been a mouse.” I agreed, and it was also extremely black. Not like black fur, but the absence of a single photon, black.
His wife then came out of the house and saw us looking puzzled. We told her what we had just seen, and of course she dismissed it. She said, “oh, probably just a mouse.” We both told her no, this was definitely not a mouse. Neither of us were drinking, and we both saw the same thing, but neither of us could come up with a single explanation for what we had just witnessed. So, we just let it go. We had our meal, and talked about other things. All the while, my friend and I kept glancing at each other with puzzled faces and shrugging shoulders. We still talk about it every now and then. We still have no idea what it was, but it was not a normal occurrence. I’ve never even heard of anyone else having seen something similar to that. I’ve never seen a ghost. I’ve never seen a UFO. This is the only strange thing I’ve seen, I think in my whole life.
